His nick name is "The baddest man on the planet" and at one point he was the undisputed heavyweight champion. But after the motocycle accident, UFC could not hold the title for him any longer and Arlovski became the interim champion, then eventually the champion, until recently when he lost to Tim Sylvia, the man who he easily beat with leg lock in the first round. It's the same Tim Sylvia that had his arm broken by Frank Mir.
Interesting enough, the ad has pictures of Tito and Shamrock, but no Sylvia and Arlovski......
Even though the Tito and Shamrock's fight does not have any title on the line, it's probably more appealing to general public than not as well known Sylvia and Arlovski.

Here is another good matchup put together by the UFC Yves Edwards Vs. Joe Stevenson. Edwards lost his comeback fight to Mark Hominick who he was supposed to Destroy. Stevenson got beat up for 3 rounds by Josh Neer and lost a decision. Both are really good fighter's whom are hungry for a win. This fight will be @ 155 lbs... =)) ( here's there stats/records )
After watching Ken's video i felt kinda bad cause im rooting for Tito in this fight mainly because of how Ken acted on the show, but truthfully growing up Ken was my favorite fighter that got me watching this amazing sport of MMA thru the UFC. The song for his Video almost had me in tears lol. Tito's video just plain kicked ass... =)
Sorry I think I posted in the wrong thread before.
Does anyone know for sure if Ken Shamrock is going to have to come down to 205 to fight Tito Ortiz again?
He did in the first match-up and it the effects showed. Shamrock's ideal weight is 225-235. Tito should come up and fight him since he thinks he's such a badass.
Yeah I'm a huge Shamrock fan, but I don't think I'm allowing that to affect my judgement here. A grudge match should be open weight, right?
I like Ken and I wish he'd done better against Tito last time.
Regarding the weight, I don't think that should be a major issue. Ken did drop weight to match Tito to fight him and he knew that going into the fight.
Also, I don't think new UFC will ever allow open weight class fights.
Even the fight between Hughes and Royce, Royce did not want to come down to 170lbs so he fought at 175lbs. Hughes did not have to drop his weights to 170lbs either.
I think it's too late to complain about the weights right now and honestly I don't think that was a factor at all in the first fight. Maybe Ken's leg wasn't 100% and it could've been a much bigger factor.
Ken has a chance to change all that and shut Tito up for good and finally get the respect he deserves. I'm glad to see him get the chance he'd been waiting a long time. I just hope something will be different this time ..... but the odds are against him. He's like 42. Hadn't won any decent fight, let alone been in one for a long time. Tito is still in his early 30's, in great shape, and much more well rounded fighter.
I dunno if it is just me, but Im really happy with this card...it's going to be great! I can't wait to see Arlovski get his belt back and even more see Tito kick the sheet! out of Ken and retire his gluteus maximus once in for all.

I guess we'll see if the top level UFC game has past Ken by Saturday. If so, I guess he could always follow Dan Severns lead into his 50s and just keep busy in smaller shows kicking the crap out of 20 something wanna be types. Cant wait for this sat. ppv..
