Wednesday, February 06, 2008 - by MMAWeekly.com
Just two days after releasing what was believed to be the full fight card for UFC 82 in Columbus, Ohio, the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Wednesday added a bout between Ultimate Fighter veteran Chris Leben and Alessio Sakara to the card.

One of the more popular fighters to emerge from the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series, Leben has since amassed a 7-3 record fighting in the Octagon, with an overall professional record of 17-4. He currently lives in Honolulu, where he runs the ICON Fitness and MMA Center.

A former professional boxer, Sakara recently made the move to training with the American Top Team in Florida. He is 3-3 in UFC competition (with one no contest), but maintains an overall professional record of 12-6.

The addition of Leben vs. Sakara brings to 10 the total number of bouts scheduled to take place on March 1 at the Nationwide Arena.

UFC 82 Main Card*:
-Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson
-Cheick Kongo vs. Heath Herring
-Chris Leben vs. Alessio Sakara
-Yushin Okami vs. Evan Tanner
