Brock Lesnar. Mark WAS a great fighter but he's much older than Brock and somewhat past his prime.

I had thought that of fighters in the past. You'd be surprised that the older guy has one good fight left.

Lesnar should win this fight, but Coleman has a lot more experience. It really just boils down to who gets the takedown. Coleman is REALLY hard to takedown and has some of the best shots in the game. I love it when two top wrestlers face off in an MMA match, the war of the takedown game is great!

Coleman use to be a beast but even at his prime Brock is a better wrestler. Brock is a monster and I think he is the real deal if he had better knowledge of bjj I think we would have seen a different result in that fight against Mir. I feel bad for Coleman because he's a legend.

I agree, Lesnar has teh potential to be great in the sport but he was a lot to learn both standing and submission wise. Lesnar was the superior wrestler in pure wrestling, but as you know it's different in MMA. Just like when Nogueira fought Werdum, Werdum on paper is a better BJJ guy than Noueria but Nogueira's BJJ for MMA won the day. Coleman might be able to get Lesnar down. We'll see, it will be interesting.

^^^^that does pretty much sum it up.

Does anyone know if Lesnar has taken a new approach to his training? I mean it was obvious he ignored BJJ the last go round. How does the saying go, youre only as strong as youre weakest link.

No, actually Lesnar looked like he had practiced some ground stuff. He saw the heel hook coming and knew he needed to get out, he just tried to go straight out instead of turning out which helped Mir transition to a nice kneebar. He just needs more experience. You gotta undestand, Mir is a sensational submission guy. He tapped out Roberto Traven for God's sake! That's ridiculous!

Yeah Mir is a beast alot of people who are new to MMA don't remember when Frank Mir was considered the best heavyweight in the world and he's still young. Lesnar trained well for his last fight he's with a good camp he needs more cage/ring expierence but the dude is huge and way athletic. He's as fast as a welterweight and 3x as strong. I hope Coleman does well but his last good fight was in 2000 against Don Frye and, his moustach.

Yeah, his fight with Don Frye and Don Frye's moustache was pretty good. Here's a list of Coleman's losses:

Fedor: submission
Cro Cop: KO
Fedor: submission
Nogueira: submission
Takada: Work
Rizzo: Decision
Pete Williams: KO
Maurice Smith: Decision

He has only lost to excellent submission guys or excellent strikers and Lesnar is neither. It could be very entertaining.

Yeah but he fought fat Pedro. I mean the fight could be good I just don't think coleman is gonna have the conditioning necessary. I mean I'm 33 and after injuries and what not to get back to fighting shape seems such a daunting task. Matt Hughes "the worlds most dominating welter weight", me after knee surgery, beer and general xbox 360 laziness "the worlds fattest welter weight"
