I just compiled the updated list of all the current UFC fighters and when you put it in this format, you can see their serious lacking in the area. Check it out. It looks like this is where Affliction has hurt the UFC the most.
I dunno it seems like UFC is dying. I mean the fights are starting to lose originality. Mostly they swing at each other for a few seconds and then one goes down. One of the most exciting things for me was watching the different styles fighting each other. And seeing how Karate matched up against Kung Fu but now it's just MMA. Like boxing on boxing or Tae Kwon Do. I at least think it's better to see different styles clash

I kind of like how it has become. Its more of a chess match. In the beginning grapplers had a distinct advantage, but now the strikers can grapple and the grapplers can strike. Makes it more interesting to watch, in my opinion.

Due to MMA respect for certain styles has gone down while hero worship of Muay Thai and BJJ has gone up forcing alot of people who wish to do martial arts AND compete in UFC to cross train in Muay Thai and BJJ thus mutating their styles further and further til the unique fighting style that went with Kung Fu is gone and shown as pathetic and weak.

Hmm... But you don't want fighters to do bad do you? If cross-training means it will bring the best out of fighters, then I would rather watch the best of fighters... Well fight. But I do know what you mean, early UFCs were very exciting, sumos getting knocked out from one kick, strikers getting dominated by grapplers.
The game had to evolve or grapplers would still alway be winning. The flaws of many arts were displayed by the early UFC's so fighters had to adapt in order to stay competetive.

If you think kung fu has been shown to be pathetic and weak then a.) you weren't paying attention to the first few UFC, and b.) you've never traded hands with real kung fu. Like any other style, there are many who teach a less than solid combat science and a few who teach real combat science that can be ...<drum roll> really applied.
What it HAS done is brought some of the combat back into martial arts. For too long many styles and systems were becoming watered down to almost nothing because it was becoming just theorycraft or an advanced game of tag. While MMA is not street fighting, it has shown that too many martial artist were pretending to know fighting while never applying the science of fighting.
