Episode 7

With 2 fights per episode, I'm starting to like TUF even better. Maybe they are reacting to the low ratings they have received with earlier episode and airing too much drama.

It was interesting to see why BJ put all the blame on Andy and kick him off his team. It's true that he had no control over the match up since he never had the "hammer" but don't blame it on one guy. Then, when Dana was talking to Andy and Jens, I could also see why Andy was so annoying and why you don't want to deal with him anymore.

Two quick fights - both over matched. Jens did save his two worst fighters against BJ's two best fighters. 5 -3 for Team Jens doesn't look nearly as bad as 5-1 before tonight's fight.

I'm looking forward to great semi-finals.

And it looks like UFC will air two fights per episode from now on.

P.S. Anyone else notice another run of foul language by Dana White?

I agree, Wang was annoying during that part of conversation. He should've really thanked Jens for taking him, even after he disrespected by raising his hand when BJ asked for anyone who doesn't want to have anything to do with Jens.

Jens has been the classy guy in TUF 5.

The preview looks like there will be a drama when they pick the next match up.....

i was disapointed, what weak fights. i would rather see one good one that 5 crap ones..... plus they are still not showing enough of the actual training and coaching. it seams like Dana is reacting to the bad ratings by adding more drama to the episodes and just doubling up the fights..... if people are complaining that it is too much drama, then cut that out. but then i guess the show is marketed towards people that don't know MAs so he doesn't want to alienate the audience.

This season is the toughest one to watch thus far, for me at least. I think I was spoiled by the "comeback" show of last season where Matt Serra really showed what he was all about. They had plenty of previous fight footage to show on each fighter and it made for a great lead-in to the fight for that episode. With all these new guys, they don't really have anything but drama - its frustrating to watch at times. I agree that they need to show more of the training.

Andy Wang - WTF? dude you didn't get with the program on Team Penn and then Jens and his entire team accept you and you wanna act like that? If I were Dana White, I think I would have shown Andy the door. That guy doesn't want the contract, I don't know why he is there - the 6 week vacation maybe? Didn't he cry like a baby after he lost his fight (due to the fact he did not listen to his coach's advice)? See ya Andy - have a nice life!

The fights last night were definately not balanced at all. Jens has done a great job to this point of picking the match ups. I wonder if he left these 2 guys to the end because they needed so much work from the start, or if it was just good strategy to have them fight last and not lose the control?

BTW - I liked it when Dana (in between F-bombs) asked BJ if he wanted to be the next Ken Shamrock. I laughed out loud, because BJ is a great fighter but has shown no skills as a caoch/mentor on this show.

I still remember when Joe Rogan was interviewing BJ and Jens right after they finished filming TUF 5. You could tell that somethings didn't go right for BJ as Jens was laughing it up and said he'd do it again, whereas BJ looked pissed about the whole situation and said he'd never do that again.

They hated each other before and now they hate each other even more. Hopefully, it will be a good fight when they step in the Octagon.

Wyatt will become famous soon enough

RE

Didn't get to see this weeks episode once again, so I can't comment on the show. But, do you think the UFC is editing the shows dependant on ratings from the previous week(s), or would they not have had them all "in the can" already? I'm not sure how the process works.

All the filming is done but they always have more footage (a whole weeks worth at various locations - hours and hours) but only ~40 minutes of actual airing so they can edit the stuff at anytime before airing.

It's only my guess that they decided to air 2 fights because of low ratings.
