The viewership level for The Ultimate Fighter's season premiere decreased slightly from a 1.6 rating at the beginning of the show to a 1.4 rating at the end of the show, as Mac Danzig's submission victory over Joe Scarola drew a 1.4 rating.
The overall ratings for the Season Six premiere were up slightly from the Season Five premiere, and down slightly from the Season Four premiere.
The fourth season premiere of TUF drew a 1.7 overall rating in August 2006; the fifth season premiere drew a 1.4 overall rating in April 2007; and the sixth season premiere drew a 1.5 overall rating on Wednesday night.
In the 18-to-34-year-old male demographic, the fourth season premiere of TUF drew a 2.8 rating; the fifth season premiere drew a 1.9 rating; and the sixth season premiere also drew a 1.9 rating.
In the 18-to-49-year-old male demographic, the fourth season premiere of TUF drew a 2.2 rating; the fifth season premiere drew a 1.8 rating; and the sixth season premiere drew a 1.7 rating.
Even with the slight decreases from the previous two season premieres, TUF 6 was still the second most-watched show of the day on cable television in the 18-to-49-year-old male demographic.
Other UFC & Spike TV Ratings
Immediately prior to the live broadcast of UFC Fight Night on Wednesday, September 19, a new episode of UFC Unleashed aired on Spike TV and drew an overall rating of 0.8.
Airing immediately after the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV was the series premiere of "Manswers," which drew an overall rating of 0.9.
On Thursday night, September 20, a replay of The Ultimate Fighter drew an overall rating of 0.6, and the second airing of "Countdown to UFC 76" drew an overall rating of 0.5. The first airing of "Countdown to UFC 76" on Monday night, September 17, drew an overall rating of 0.2. |
