Episode 2

This was an interesting episode....

What the heck is up with Joey after that loss? The boy needs a good smack to snap out it.

Matt was impressive in his win over Dorian. Just goes to show you have to be versed all aspects of fighting, not just the stand up.

I'm noticing Serra cusses more than Dana now. I'm losing respect for him.

I was surprised that Hughes is holding bible studies and having prayers. I did read somewhere that he is a born again Christian. I'm all for it but somehow his action and attitude is not very fitting though. Good luck to him though.

RE

Missed the show this week, but as for Serra swearing more than Dana White, I don't see it as being as big of a deal since Serra's a fighter, Dana's the friggin' President of the organization! That's just how I see it. Bible studies, really? That is whack.

I personally have not seen much of Matt Hughes. I have heard a lot about him (him beating Royce, BJ, GSP, and others) but havent seen him except for this last episode. Why do you say his actions and attitude are not fitting? Like I said, Ive only seen him last night but he seemed like a good guy to me.

He was the coach on the TUF2 with Rich Franklin, and also as a guest coach on many other TUF seasons. He comes across very cocky, shows no respect to many other fighters (just ask Rashad Evans), and if you didn't know he was a born again Christian, you'd never know it just by watching him on TV. Of course, the reality TV will only show what the viewer wants to see and the controversies, not the good stuff. Matt Serra was one of the contestants on TUF4, with GSP as the coach and Hughes as the guest coach, before their second match up. Hughes was playing a lot of head games against GSP even though GSP was just being a nice guy. Serra really didn't like that. And whenever I watched a promos for all his PPV match ups, I always rooted for the other guy because he was so cocky. As a person, not my favorite. As a fighter, he's a tremendous athelete who dominated the welterweight division.

RE

I caught a reply tonight, man Hughes is a whack job. I also lost any respect I had for him for doing "High five!" Borat style twice after Mac's win, who knows how many times he does it daily (it annoys the hell out of me when people repeatedly say/do it). Also him and his other coach were like a couple of cackling school girls after the fight and after the fight pics. On the other hand, I think they should have a "Bro" counter on the bottom of the screen during the episodes, I swear it was said at least 100 times that episode, with probably 50 coming from Serra alone lol.
