What were the judges thinking?

Matt Hughes was really upset with that scoring. He even questioned the Nevada Athletic Commissions on how they found the judges. Dana didn't agree with the scoring either and gave $5K to each fighters, which I thought was a cool gesture.

In case you didn't see, Ben and Dan fought a bloody two rounds where it's clear Dan won the first round and Ben won the second. But the judges rules majority decision for Ben and there was no third round to decide the real winner. Everybody was upset but judges have spoken and even Dana couldn't do anything about the outcome.

With Ben's win, that puts Matt Hughes down 1-5. He's certainly upset. But, is he upset because his guys are not listening to him and failing themselves or if he upset because his guys are making him look bad? More and more, it's more like the latter, I don't know.

he is just mad that the guys are making him look bad. he has yet to show some good coaching skill in my opinion.

i missed this episode , i hope to catch it this weekend. but i did read Serra's blog and he even sounded surprised about the first round. i do not know if they showed it on the episode, but apparently Serra went up to Dan and congradulated him on a really good fight.

i remember my first post about this season and i said i probably would not watch the season because i hate hughes and serra. i am glad i stuck with this season. i still hate hughes, but i have really came around on serra and now quite respect him..... he pulled a Tito

Yeah, I forgot mention that Serra did go to Team Hughes's room after the fight and congratulated Dan for a great fight. And I've seen Serra do that before as well. Either Hughes doesn't do it or don't show it on TV, but Hughes doesn't even congratulate his own guys after the loss. He just complains that they don't listen to his game plan. He was upset that Dan didn't listen to him when he told him to let Ben get up, instead Dan wouldn't let him stand up. It's not a matter of popularity contest but if you did a poll on all 16 guys, majority would prefer to be on Serra's team than on Hughes'.
