Episode 7

I thought with all of the initial focus on George that he'd be the one that lost (seeing as all they have done this season is focus and build up the people that lose each week, or maybe that was just a coincidence with them focusing on Team Hughes), BUT they eventually actually split time between showing stuff of George AND J-Roc, what a concept! Anyways, I laughed out loud after the fight with the "interview" with Matt Hughes as he just sat there and didn't say a word bwahaha. 6-1 for Team Serra, wow! J-Roc had nothing in that fight and George looked cool and calm and just waited for his chances, sort of Anderson Silva like (but of course not like Anderson Silva...if that makes sense lol).

There's only 1 fight left and it looks like it could go either way from the previews as both fighters seem to have problems. I don't think I've even seen 1 second of footage from the Team Hughes guy in the past 7 weeks, like wtf? "War Machine" looks to have some personal issues and it will be interesting to see if he "cracks" or not.

What did you guys think of Ben whining about George not waking them up? I thought they were idiots for sleeping till 11:15 and it wasn't George's fault they couldn't get their asses out of bed. Like he said, he's not their Mommy there to say "Wake up honey, it's time to do some voluntary training". However, after Ben asked George if he could please wake him/them up if he gets up before the others, George should have respected that and woke them up, at least once.

Very good capture of yesterday's episode.

Hughes gotta be hurting really bad, 6-1. I think part of it may be who he picked, not just his training method or the game plan, even though he's upset that his guys don't listen to his game plan.

Because they never showed George in training much, I couldn't tell he was the top contender. J-Roc looks like a total stud and looks unbeatable but all it took was that one uppercut and he was knocked out.

I think Hughes will win one next week at least.

6-1

Six to one says it all. I think it is so funny to see the two coaches. Serra is so happy and Hughes is so mopey. I like Matt Serra more than I like Matt Hughes - mostly because Serra comes from NY and I know people who train with him but I am starting to feel sorry for Hughes. I don't even think its so much the different training styles as it is the individuals. I will say that Matt Serra is really into each and every fight - yelling and screaming as loud as he can. His voice is all you hear for the whole fight. Maybe it does help.
Thanks,
Sensei Tom

RE

I also broke out laughing after Dana was done talking to baby J-Roc and then J-Roc almost walked into the tree "Watch your head!" I would have pissed myself had he got KO'd again by walking into the tree lol.

If you read the blogs of each of the coaches on UFC.com you can tell there's a huge difference in the two men just by how they comment on the shows. I started liking Serra when he was on TUF4 because of how he basically stepped in as a coach for the whole team when he really didn't have to, I know Matt Hughes wouldn't have! He would have been out for #1 just like he is now and a team can't win with that mindset.

You can tell Hughes is more upset about losing to Serra than his teammates losing. He kept referring to losing to the "guy who bad mouth you on national television", referring to Serra's public dislike of Hughes.

Serra v Hughes

I still like the comment that Matt Serra said after he won the title. He said "I feel like I won already because now I get to punch Matt Hughes in the face."
Thanks,
Sensei Tom
