The Ultimate Fighter 8Discuss SpikeTV's The Ultimate Fighter Season 8 Here
Unlike Nate Diaz, the younger brother of Nick Diaz, winning the past TUF show, the brothers of Rashad Evans and Clay Guida didn't have such luck. At least Evans fought and lost. Guida didn't make the weight and had to go to hospital on a stretcher for dehydration.
It looks like it's going to be an interesting season again as the quality of the fighters are going up with each season. I'm surprised that they had chosen lightweights and light heavyweights to be on the same season.
No guesses yet as to who's the favorite to win the series.

So....He cut weight so he could weigh the right weight....and due to his cutting weight ended up in the hospital...Hmmmm....sounds like a good reason NOT to cut weight. I've never had a problem with needing to go to the hospital for dehydration before a fight. Of course, I don't cut weight either.

Its the danger of over doing it. Moderation in all things (even in moderation).

I know. I'm teasing some of our MMA bretheren. I teach my students all about moderation in everything as well. Even alcohol is "good" for you in moderation. A glass of wine per day I believe is supposed to be good for you. Pot apparently helps to stave off cancer in moderation. Who woulda thought... It's amazing the things you can find on the internet.
Guida never even made the weight. Why would you even show up if you were in that bad of shape - or I mean over weight? Not very smart at all, made him look like an idiot. Not to mention his brother (Clay), who probably used a favor with Dana and the UFC, to get him on the show in the first place.
Anyway, yes it does seem that the talent is getting better. A couple of the fights, I think I would have liked to have seen both guys make it into the house. They had some very good fights in the first show, can't wait to see how these guys perform in the weeks to come - it should get better and better.
