Home-Made Weapon, Hickory

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and joined to see if someone could help me out.

I recently tore my ACL and I will be limping for a while. I am looking to hand craft a cane that can also be used as a weapon. It will help me walk in the coming months and be something I can train with.

I want to make it out of high grade impact hickory but I am having trouble finding it in raw form. I can find axe handles, but those are too short and already shaped, and I can find raw hickory that is not impact grade.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a 3-4 foot long 2in.x2in or better yet 3inx3in piece of raw high grade impact hickory?

Thanks for your help.
