No, but you could improvise. Like use a pool cue vs. a knife.

Yeah , I thought we had a pool cue discussion.

More likely the cue could be better served using it like a sword than a bo........

But is the discussion about blades or wooden kamas?

Actually, contrary to popular belief, the Bo staff is the most practical weapon because, yes, you will find it on the street. Brooms, hoes, mops, branches, these are all usable as Bos. So I don't know why every one says it isn't practical. You will find a lot more Bos than Kamas on the street.

I say Bo. It is simple, easy, and you can find it anywhere on the sreet.

Actually, I stated, somewhere on another thread, that such a weapon, like a cudgel of wood, or metal could be more found than a lounger bo. Short bos, are not actually "staffs".

As there was discussion about bos and swords, a awhile back-

Understood. But if you are experienced with a Bo you will be able to function fairly well with any length of wood.

I would choose the bo staff because I am more familar with it. But also because it can come in many different forms. Like a sweeping brush or mop. And also because it has more reach and can do alot of damage if you want or it can disarm your opponent from far away if need be

This is why I prefer the Phillipino way of thinking in regards to weapons, Bo, kama, knives, sword,jo cane, all the movenemts are the same, think about it , thrust is thrust, a slash is a slash

no weapon is better or worst than another,(except firearms) It is all about what you can do with,

as far as practicallity , no weapon is most practical. you always don't have it with you and you can easily regulate force used.
