Best Choice for a Fantasy Weapon
So, what would you guys prefer in a fantasy weapon? Be as detailed as you like. For me, I'm happy with my katana. In fantasy, it would be able to cleave diamond (as well as any opponents). It would also have strong resistance to fire and oxygen, and be able to hold and attack with tongues of flame. Its name is Kurosakura (Black Cherry Blossom).
My significant other's sword, Sakurashi (Cherry Blossom Death) would have the same abilities, although it would be a little shorter and thus less damaging against larger opponents. It would also be a little faster. In its presence, sakura trees in the vicinity would stay in constant bloom, and when its owner left, the blossoms would slowly begin to fall as they would at the end of their bloom.
When together, they had two abiliies:
1.The ability to heal any and all wounds of a specific person.
2.The ability to obliterate an enemy with great blasts of white holy energy.
Also, at the end of combat, the enemy's blood would drip off the swords as if they were crying.

I have to agree with complete the light saber would be my choice of fantasy weapon as well. Aside from the fine points that have already been made, they can also be used to toast bread as you slice the pieces from a loaf. (As seen in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.)

What about a revolutionary way to get back into your car after you lock yourself out?

My fantasy weapon would be a rabbit that shoots flaming carrots out of it's butt and wards off evil with it's cute bunny eyes....... you fire it by pulling on its ears

If I had a lightsaber, it would either be blue, teal or crimson. Blue because in the SW world it represents goodness, teal because it's the colour of my eyes, and crimson because it's one of my symbolic colours. The problem with the red one is it symbolizes darkness in SW.

Lightsabers according to an interview with George Lucas are supposed to weigh 40-50 lbs. I'm pretty sure none of ya'll'd like to carry that around. For me well I'd like a starship (Weapon, I guess) Fly that around, have no need for fuel.
