Whey protein isn't really what I consider a supplement, it's really more like a real replacement.

But yeah, Whey protein is a great choice for lifting.

Yea, whey would be good for you. I drink a shake after I workout. Honestly, if I were you, I would lift seriously for a year and see what type of gains you make, then start thinking about supplements. I have been lifting seriously for around 11 years and didnt start supplements till maybe about 3 in. I recommend you lift seriously and start a good diet. Those should be your top priorities at this point.

Now for the most important part....When you join your gym, meet with a personal trainer, even if only a few times to a) put together a program for you and b) to learn how to properly do exercises.

I cant tell you how many people have bad form in the gym when they lift.

Mayoclinic (one of the worlds top medical research hospitals) is saying creatine may cause these:

"Reports of other side effects include thirst, mild headache, anxiety, irritability, aggression, nervousness, sleepiness, depression, abnormal heart rhythm, fainting or dizziness, blood clots in the legs (called deep vein thrombosis), seizure, or swollen limbs."

There is no other medicial proof to support these claims, you could have someone with a bad heart taking creatine reporting these symptoms and someone puts in as a possible side effect. It does not affect hormonal output in any way other than it allows you more time in the gym which naturally spurs HGH which in turn spurs testosterone which in turn spurs things like aggressions, irritability, anxiety....so again, the side effects are most likely not a direct result of the supplement but of the other effects caused by increased time in the gym.

Know what I'm saying?
